The Liveability Challenge (TLC) is back for its ninth edition, continuing its global search for disruptive deep-tech solutions that significantly reduce emissions across industries and tackle the challenges of accelerating climate impacts. This year, the Challenges focuses on two key themes: Decarbonisation and Cool Earth, with a record-breaking S$4 million in catalytic funding available.
With over 1,500 submissions from more than 100 countries, our finalists are carefully shortlisted from a highly competitive pool of global innovators. The top two winners will win S$1 million dollars in grant funding each from Temasek Foundation, alongside investment prizes from our strategic partners.
In addition, the two top solutions under the Decarbonisation track will receive S$1 million dollars each in development funding from Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) - unlocking access to industry partnerships and test-bedding facilities to fast-track their solutions from lab to market.
Join us for the TLC Grand Finale on 20th May, a partner event of Ecosperity Week 2026 by Temasek, where our finalists will pitch live before a panel of distinguished judges and investors. Discover the latest breakthrough climate technologies and gain exclusive access to TLC's global community of investors, corporates, entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders, where bold ideas are shaping the future.
Registration is by approval only due to limited seats. You will receive an email confirmation from us if your registration is approved.

Adoption is emerging as the bottleneck in the climate transition—in an era of fragile geopolitics, prolonged conflicts, and shifting capital flows, even the most promising climate technologies face heightened uncertainty in funding, supply chains, and regulatory support. These dynamics are making it harder to move from pilot projects to long‑term deployment, especially in the very regions where liveability risks are highest.
This dialogue will examine how climate solutions can be designed and financed to withstand turbulent conditions, sustain investor confidence, and secure real‑world buy‑in despite geopolitical headwinds. We explore how policy, procurement, and risk‑sharing mechanisms can be adapted to shelter climate innovation from volatility; how blended finance and public‑private partnerships can smooth access to capital amid constrained fiscal environments; and how founders can align their value propositions with the security, resilience, and affordability priorities that now shape public and corporate decision‑making.
