About this Event

Established in partnership with Singapore Management University (SMU) in 2007, the Ho Bee Professorship was redefined in March 2023 as the Ho Bee Professorship in Sustainability Management. The Professorship is dedicated to advancing research and thought leadership in sustainability, with a focus on promoting long-term social and environmental well-being.

A strong advocate of environmental responsibility, Ho Bee Land integrates sustainable practices into its developments and operations, aligning with global standards in corporate governance. Its commitment to shaping a greener future aligns closely with SMU’s vision of driving sustainability through education, research, and innovation.

As part of this partnership, Ho Bee Land and SMU jointly present the Ho Bee Professorship in Sustainability Management Luminary Speaker Series — an annual platform that brings together thought leaders, business practitioners, and academics to explore cutting-edge issues in sustainable management. The inaugural edition in 2024 featured Georg Kell, Chairman of the Board of Arabesque.

Building on this momentum, the 2025 edition features Sungho Park, CEO of Reable, a climate-tech company specialising in AI-driven energy optimisation. With over two decades of experience in sustainable real estate, smart building technologies, and energy innovation, Sungho has led AI-driven energy projects in Korea and contributed to sustainable urban developments in the Middle East. Drawing on Korea’s experience in AI-powered urban development, he will share insights on how technology and collaboration can accelerate the transition toward carbon-neutral cities in Asia.

The day also features the Ho Bee Land – SMU Sustainability Business Case Challenge, a student engagement initiative introduced under the Ho Bee Professorship. Open to undergraduates and postgraduates from SMU and other local universities, the Challenge invites young innovators to develop practical solutions for a sustainable future. This year’s Challenge culminates in the afternoon with the finalist presentations and prize-giving ceremony, following the Ho Bee Luminary Speaker Series — bringing together thought leaders and emerging changemakers in one inspiring day of dialogue and innovation.

Through its continued support of events such as the Ho Bee Professorship in Sustainability Luminary Speaker Series, Nature Finance Conference, and GRASFI Conference, Ho Bee Land demonstrates its steadfast commitment to advancing sustainability discourse and inspiring meaningful action within and beyond academia.
