Scott Fritzen joined Singapore Management University (SMU) on 21 July 2025. He previously served as President of Fulbright University Vietnam and has held senior academic and leadership roles at the University of Washington, New York University, NYU Shanghai, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, among others.
A scholar of public policy and leadership, Fritzen’s research focuses on public sector reform, anti-corruption policymaking, and strategic management. His doctorate is from Princeton University.
Originally from Flint, Michigan, Fritzen has lived and worked extensively across Asia, including Vietnam, Singapore, Japan and China.
