Head of Sustainable Sourcing, Unilever
Megan Willis is a sustainability and social impact professional with 20 years of experience working in agriculture supply chains. As the Head of Sustainable Sourcing – Naturals and Living Income at Unilever, she works towards ensuring key agricultural commodities are sourced in line with the goals of Unilever Compass, overseeing programmes and partnerships that help enhance livelihoods and protect the planet. She also leads strategy development globally for the Living Income pillar, driving toward improved incomes at the farmer level.
Prior to joining Unilever, Megan led sustainable sourcing initiatives in the Asia Pacific region for Cargill, first in cocoa and then in palm and coconut. She spent much of her early career as a diplomat, where she served as an Agriculture and Private Sector Development Officer with the US Agency for International Development with postings in Washington, Senegal, South Sudan, and Myanmar. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tonga, focused on small business development.
Megan holds her MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
