Mr. Atem S. Ramsundersingh, is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of WEnergy Global Pte Ltd based in Singapore. The company is a one-stop provider of renewable energy solutions (i.e. solar, tidal, wind, hydro and bio-systems and smart power distribution systems, including storage of energy), aiming to become a major quality provider of renewable energy and energy-efficiency technologies and services. The company combines its strengths in technology, engineering, project development and investment to deliver results with positive impact on life on this planet. The company is currently working on a portfolio of projects in ASEAN that are at different stages of the project cycle and totaling over USD300m of assets. WEnergy Global is both an EPC and an IPP company. The company participates in three joint venture companies in Philippines: the Sabang Renewable Energy Corporation (SREC), Culion/Linapacan Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC) and WEnergy Power Pilipinas Inc (WPPI). WEnergy Global is also shareholding partner in CleanGrid Partners Pte Ltd, an investment partnership with Japanese companies Intellectual Capital Management Group (ICMG) and Tokyo Electric Power Corporation PowerGrid (TEPCO-PG). WEnergy Global is a partner of WE Renewables B.V. in The Netherlands, and investment company in renewable energy in Asia.

He brings in over 30 years of extensive international experience and knowledge about business and project development in emerging economies and complex decision-making and financing environments. He further brings in his extensive knowledge and experience in industrial/equipment manufacturing processes and project management, supply chain and quality management, utility management, operations, human resources, financial management, deal structuring and commercialization of business opportunities. He has a vast network of contacts in over 70 countries and several Multilateral Agencies in the area of industry, energy, water and development finance. Mr. Ramsundersingh is a former Senior Manager with The World Bank Group (Washington DC, USA) and a Program Director with the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water and Environment (Delft, The Netherlands). He obtained a Masters’ Degree in Infrastructure Engineering at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and has been trained at the Harvard Business School in Corporate Renewal and Change Management and Cambridge University in Sustainable Industrial Leadership.

He was formerly the CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of a group of companies in Singapore being fully owned subsidiaries of a holding company listed in Kuala Lumpur. He successfully crafted and implemented the re-engineering and renewing the group of companies for growth in Singapore and China focusing on industrial product manufacturing for the semiconductor industry, while he has been developing new business ventures in the palm oil and construction sectors.
