As world-wide Technology Lead for Energies & Utilities for AWS, Annette is supporting customers with their energy transition and sustainability efforts and enabling them to leverage AWS Cloud and Partner solutions for their most challenging business problems. She also worked as Solution Architect for the global energy unit of AWS, based out of Paris.  

Before moving back to Europe, she was a member of the Innovation Task Force at TEPCO and one of the founding member of the spinout TRENDE Inc, an online retailer offering free roof-top solar subscriptions in Japan. She was in charge of designing the solutions for managing the Smart Meter Data and the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Proof of Concept that TRENDE, TOYOTA Motors and the University of Tokyo developed. Annette also worked over 5 years as a researcher at Sony Computer Science Lab. designing and implementing decentralized P2P control strategies for exchanging energy in microgrids. She holds a PhD in Systems Innovation department from the University of Tokyo.
