Realising Scope 3 Reporting and Disclosure in ASEAN

Scope 3 emissions can account for more than 90 per cent of a company’s total greenhouse gas (GHG Protocol). However, these indirect emissions are the most complex to measure and disclose.  

Eco-Business and its partners have researched organisational progress towards Scope 3 reporting and disclosure. Our research has revealed differences in maturity, motivation, and supply chain readiness between jurisdictions. We have also identified diverging priorities in technology adoption for Scope 3 measurement, reporting and verification (MRV).

This fireside chat will explore:

1. ISSB standards adoption across ASEAN markets, including regulatory drivers

2. Organisational progress in ASEAN towards effective GHG emissions reporting and disclosure, including related challenges and opportunities

3. The role of technology in supporting adoption

The featured speakers will answer common questions on ISSB standards adoption in ASEAN markets, prioritising Scope 3 reporting in board agendas (and related challenges), leveraging technology platforms, building capacity across organisational units and collaborating with stakeholders across the value chain.

Both reports outline the state of Scope 3 reporting progress, challenges to Scope 3 alignment, related business opportunities, and technology adoption in each jurisdiction.
