Join us for the launch of Sustainability Media Academy Season 2 as we unveil new content for this year's edition of the programme!
The Sustainability Media Academy is an EB Impact programme that provides journalists and editors in the Asia Pacific region with the knowledge, tools, resources and connections to produce high-quality journalism on sustainable development issues.
The programme aims to raise the awareness of complex sustainable development challenges in the region, as well as increase the level of trust and quality of debate in the media on these issues.
This programme builds on a successful pilot in 2022, when we hosted the inaugural edition, receiving over 150 submissions across 12 countries. About 50 journalists and editors were selected from around the region, including from Malaysia, Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal, Vietnam, the Philippines, among others. Beneficiaries participated in three full-day workshops across three months featuring experts and trainers from across media, academia, business and policy.
In 2023, the programme will expand its regional presence by working with strategic partners to host a two-day masterclass in Singapore for all participants, and in addition three country workshops in Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia which will further adapt the content to local contexts and applications.
