Mr. Monroy assumed the role of Country Representative for UNIDO in the Philippinesin August of 2021. His work centers on promoting the organization’s mandate toadvance sustainable industrial and economic development in the country in ways thatreduce inequalities and cause no further harm to people and environment. Indeveloping and managing the UNIDO portfolio, his engagements with government,private-sector players, stakeholders, and development partners ensure that projectsimplemented under the UNIDO Philippine Country Programming Framework, 2018 -2023 is aligned with the country’s development goals identified in the PhilippineDevelopment Plan and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
