Solene Le Doze

Regional Technical Advisor, UNDP Nature Hub

Solene is an agronomist and environmental economist with 17 years of international experience, currently working as a Regional Technical Adviser on Biodiversity and Ecosystems, within the UNDP Nature Hub, and us based in Bangkok.

Her interest lies in supporting countries in shifting towards sustainable development strategies, with a focus on environment.

She has worked in the field in Zimbabwe, Guadeloupe and Indonesia, and worked with the UK government and the private sector on the implementation of two environmental policies (sustainable timber procurement and recycling of organic waste). She has been working for the United Nations since 2009, supporting the establishment of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and of the UNDP global capacity-building Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services Network, and supporting regional environmental cooperation for UN ESCAP for 5 years.

She is currently a Regional Technical Advisor for the UNDP Nature Hub, based in the UNDP Regional Hub for Asia and the Pacific, where she mainly supports countries accessing and implementing projects funded by the Global Environment Facility.
