Ian advises business, government and NGOs on trade, investment, and economic and environmental policy and governance. His focus sectors are mining and minerals, energy and infrastructure. Ian is an Adjunct Professor at the Sustainable Minerals Institute at based at The University of Queensland. Ian has worked both in Australia and with developing economies in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Ian recently competed an assignment for Infrastructure Australia researching Northern Australian content for the Australian Infrastructure Plan. For much of his career, Ian was a senior executive in minerals and energy industry bodies, and a partner in a firm consulting on economics, policy and strategy.Ian has served on the boards of organisations including Committee for Economic Development of Australia, Australia Indonesia Business Council and internationally on committees including the Sustainable Business Network of UNESCAP. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Canadian Northern Corridor Research Program at the University of Calgary, Canada.
