Ms. Betsy Galang recently joined IFC as a Senior Country Officer for the Philippines. Betsy has 21 years of experience working in the banking sector, in various capacities within the Corporate and Institutional Banking division. She spent 11 years working in Global Markets within the Corporate Sales team where she worked with the Finance and Treasury teams of large local corporations to advise on and structure foreign exchange and interest rate risk management solutions related to debt issuances and operational flows. More recently, she worked for HSBC as Senior Relationship Manager for large local corporates covering transactions across the global network of the bank and across the different products and services including debt and equity capital markets, advisory, lending, sustainable finance, trade finance and cash management.

Betsy earned her bachelor’s degree in management from Ateneo de Manila University and her master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School with concentration in finance and economics.
