Amelia Ng

Chief Executive Officer, Olea Global

Amelia Ng is an executive director and the Chief Executive Officer of Olea Global, funded by SC Ventures of Standard Chartered and Linklogis. Amelia is also the Co-Chair for the Global Future Council on Responsive Financial Systems of the World Economic Forum.Amelia has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services. Amelia was instrumental to and led the formation of Olea at SC Ventures – the platform and catalyst for Standard Chartered to promote innovation, invest in disruptive financial technology, and explore alternative business models. She was a member of the Braintrust committee of SC Ventures from 2018 to 2020 where she contributed to new ventures building and investments.Before joining SC Ventures, Amelia had a broad range of banking experience across Corporate Banking, Markets and Investment Banking at Standard Chartered. Amelia was the Chief of Staff of the CEO of CCIB and Global Head of Strategic Initiatives. In addition, she oversaw the Bank’s Greater China and Greater Bay business and capability build. She was a member of the Global CCIB Management Team and the Global Banking Management Team. Prior to this, Amelia was the Global Head of CCIB Strategy, working with other senior executives at Standard Chartered to develop and execute CCIB’s strategy. This includes developing global strategy, implementing key business initiatives, as well as driving inorganic and innovation agenda. She launched her career at HSBC where she worked across trade, coverage and advisory teams.Amelia is a council member of the Global Future Council on Responsive Financial Systems of the World Economic Forum. She is also the Board Supervisor of Standard Chartered Securities (China) Company Limited. Amelia holds an MBA from INSEAD and an undergraduate degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She enjoys spending time with her kid and fur-kids, cooking, and travelling.
