Wasted: Exclusive film premiere

Humanity has created an unprecedented volume of trash in the era of the Anthropocene. Why are we wasting opportunities to solve our waste issues, and what can be done to turn waste pollution into solutions? This is the story of waste. This film opens our eyes to the simple truth hidden in plain sight: What we throw away, doesn’t go away. Everything we consume has a lifespan we never see.  

Wasted is a hard-hitting and humbling reminder that it's time to shift our perspective and open our eyes to the reality of our trashed planet in this new era of the Anthropocene. We have forgotten the undeniable truth that waste has an inextricable connection to our daily lives and the well-being of our societies. Solutions to tackle this blight exist in plain sight, so why are we wasting opportunities to make change?

‍Wasted aims to inspire action across business, policy and individuals to clean up our communities, cities and natural habitats and create healthy, thriving economies.  

We hear from industry experts, policymakers, scientists, activists, community leaders and those affected by the impact of ineffective waste management systems. They shed new light on how our worldview and approach to waste profoundly affects life on our planet. Wasted will expose the hidden world of waste, focusing on Asia, where problems and solutions are most pressing to create a cleaner future. Wasted calls out the existing gaps, highlights solutions and connects people, businesses and policy-makers to new actions for the future.
